OpenID Public Calendar Login
Helios Calendar supports OpenID for public calendar login. Both 1.0 and 2.0 identity providers are supported.
Event Comments
Using their OpenID account users can login to the public calendar to leave comments for events.
Post Comment as Tweet
Users posting a comment can check an (optional) checkbox to have their comment posted to their Twitter timeline as a tweet in addition to being posted to the event as a comment.
Helios' custom hashtag setting adds a unique hashtag to your users tweets allows you to easily find what is being said on twitter about your calendar & events.
Comment Recomnds
Recomnds (Refresh Community Niceness of Discussion Score) is an aggregate score applied to each comment by public calendar users to democratically assist you with the policing of user generated content. Comments with a Recomnds below the limit you set will be hidden by default when events are browsed by public calendar users.
For more information about Recomnds visit the Helios Calendar documentation.
Censored Word List
Dynamically manage a list of words (or phrases) filtered from public calendar comments. Updated the list at anytime within the admin console and changes are active immediately filtering all public comments on your calendar.
Comment Reporting
Comments that skirt the censored word list can be reported by users for moderation or removal.
Custom Event RSVPs
In addition to it's integration with Eventbrite Helios Calendar also offers a custom RSVP service that supports a less formal event registration process. All communication is handled by email between the event coordinator ("Event Contact") and the registrant.
Flexible User Management (Ban/Delete Public Users)
Review activity statistics for all OpenID users within the admin console. Block troublemakers by permanently banning them with a click.
